It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of a loving woman. Evelyn Ollie Spinks, age 88, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in Pasadena, Texas.
Evelyn was born in Bellville, Texas, to Frank and Annie Maresh Lubojasky. After graduating from Bellville High School, she attended cosmetology school in Austin, Texas where she met Victor Spinks. They married in September of 1950 and moved to Pasadena/Deer Park where they raised four children. Evelyn spent several years as a beautician, a homemaker, a 16 year DPISD food service employee, and a Sunday school teacher at South Avenue Baptist Church for 39 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and her husband of 66 years, Victor Spinks. She is survived by her sons, David, Ricky and wife Karen, and daughters, Susan Walker and husband Duane, and Nancy Heintschel. Evelyn is also survived by eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and her extended family of Spinks and Lubojasky sister-in-laws, nephews, and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors with Pastor Jim Overton officiating.
