Written by Obituary. Posted in Obituaries

Georgiana BishopGeorgiana Irene Fowler Bishop, a loving wife, mother, Nannie, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was called home to Heaven on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the age of 64. She was a sweet-spirited Christian warrior that battled breast cancer for 14 years with dignity after it metastasized to other parts of her body. Georgiana would mask her pain with her beautiful SMILE and always provided kindness, genuine care, and concern for others but never drew attention to herself. She impacted so many lives in such an amazing gentle way.
Born on April 2, 1953, in Kansas City, KS, a few months later she moved to Pasadena, TX with her parents. She attended Deer Park schools and graduated in 1971. Georgiana married her beloved husband, Richard I. Bishop, on November 26, 1971, and moved to Deer Park, TX. They enjoyed many fun activities together in their married life of almost 46 years, such as camping, swimming, family gatherings, and traveling. A recent trip to Hawaii brought the biggest smile to her face. Georgiana loved her two children and family unconditionally and without measure. Her most treasured name was “Nannie”, and she thrived on being involved in the children's lives. Coke with Sonic ice was her favorite drink.
Georgiana is survived by her husband, Richard. Children: Jana René Bishop Baker and Richard Jason Bishop and his wife Natalie. Grandchildren: Emma René Baker, Hart Donaghe Bishop, and Reed Vaughan Bishop. Her mother: Mary Irene Fowler. Sisters: Loretta Patrick (Kevin) and Kimberly Crawford (Spencer). Brother: Terry Fowler (Dianne). Sister-in-Law: Tana Haass (Douglas). Brother-in-law: C. R. Bishop, III (Pamela). Close nieces and nephews: Cody and Makenna Patrick and Konner and Karsyn Crawford. In addition, Georgiana will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Waiting for her in Heaven were her father, L. A. Fowler, Jr., and her in-laws ~ C. R. Bishop, Jr. and Iris Bishop and many other relatives.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Pasadena in the Chapel, 7500 Fairmont Pkwy., Pasadena, TX. Visitation will be 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM for the Celebration of Life service. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire memorial contributions, please consider Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Georgiana was a sweet Woman of Faith that served Christ with all her heart, mind and soul.

See you later...Have a blessed day!
