Jerry was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on July 20, 1957. His family moved to Pasadena, Texas when he was six months old. He grew up in the rural Red Bluff/Golden Acres area where he lived all his life. He started working for Deer Park School District at the age of 25 and worked there until retirement in the maintenance dept. Air conditioning, chillers, and heating was his specialty. He believed that all things were as they should be and would work out. He was always eager to help anyone in need. Sometimes he was helping before you knew there was a need. He also collected “stuff”. If anyone needed a piece or a part, they called Jerry first. He could fix almost anything. If you couldn’t fix it, ask him. He could usually do it. Jerry and Jane traveled quite a lot together. He was always game to go somewhere that they had never been, do new things, for weeks at a time. He loved his extended family in Wisconsin and traveled there for visits many times. He was very close to his Uncle Harlan, Aunt Dorothy and Aunt Connie. Jerry and Jane worked hard together and enjoyed life together. He was the most loving partner. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, James L McFarlin and Patricia Young McFarlin, and older brother James [Jimmy] McFarlin.
