James Curtis McCaskill, 56, Deer Park, Texas passed away December 9, 2017.
James was an incredibly loving man who always made the people around him feel special and important. He had a way of bringing cheer and laughter to any room just by walking in. He passionately loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and his favorite sports teams — the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros, and he was absolutely thrilled to watch them win the World Series this year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles McCaskill and Helen McCaskill Cleghorn. James is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Leonard, his daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Abrahan Chavez, his son, Kurt McCaskill, his stepchildren, Brittany Schindehette, Drew Schindehette, and Brooke Copeland, his grandchildren, Audrey, Layla, Emmalynn, Hayzel, Kaden, and Bryce, his brother, Mike McCaskill, his sisters, Jeanne Hardt and Susie McCaskill, and his many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 15th, 2017 in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.
