DP basketball hosts annual Cager camp
The Deer Park Cager Club Basketball Camp concluded on a high note with contests and team competition. More than 170 campers participated in the annual event.
"I want to thank all of the coaches who did an awesome job in making this camp go," said DPHS Head Basketball Coach Louie Means. "I really appreciate their sacrifice and dedication to the boys basketball program. We had a lot of fun and really saw great improvement from the first to the last day."
The coaches also gave out several awards at each grade level.

The Free Throw champion was Andrew Madrigal and runner-up was Kelvin Castillo. The Layups winner was Nick Mueller and Andrew Madrigal was runner-up. Hotshot champion was Andrew Madrigal and the runner up was Nick Mueller. The Knock Out champion was Andrew Madrigal and the runner up was Kelvin Castillo. The Most Improved Camper award went to Hayden Oren and the Camp MVP was Andrew Madrigal.
Fourth grade Hustle Award Winners were: Jacob Marshall, Christian Hallmark, Christian Gonzalez, Alonso Villarreal and Mason Vaughn. The Free Throw champion was Brad Milliorn and runner-up was Jack Aillet. The Layups winner was Josh Munoz and Coleman Smith was runner-up. Hotshot champion was Brenden Buffaloe and the runner up was Coleman Smith. The Knock Out champion was Brenden Buffaloe and the runner up was Kaleb Etheridge. The Most Improved Camper award went to Mason Vaughn and the Camp MVP was Brad Milliorn.

The Most Improved Camper award went to Noah Hartwell and the Camp MVP was Tyler Sternberg.

The Layups winner was Blake Brower and Dylan Bradshaw was runner-up. Hotshot champion was Blake Brower and the runner up was Dawson Hebert. The Knock Out champion was Bryan Walmsley and the runner up was Noah Myers. The Most Improved Camper award went to Chase Hogan and the Camp MVPs were Dillion Bradshaw and Blake Brower.

Hotshot champion was Connor Means and the runner up was Adrean Galindo. The Knock Out champion was Matt Wagner and the runner up was Adrean Galindo. Three-point contest winners were champion Jonathan Alaniz and runner-up Ryan Rubio. The Most Improved Camper award went to Logan Graham and the Camp MVP was Connor Means.
