Deer rout Yellowjackets at Watkins Gym

The Deer basketball team extended its winning streak to seven games with an emphatic 67-18 win over Alvin Tuesday at Watkins Gym. Next up for the Deer is a tournament in Corpus Christi. After they return from South Texas, the Deer host Angleton Dec. 12.

Four Deer Park players scored in double figures in a 67-18 rout over Alvin Tuesday night.

Led by Brad Milliorn’s 20 points the Deer basketball team won its seventh straight game. Milliorn went 5-8 from behind the three-point line.

Tristan Ikpe notched another double-double with 10 points and 11 boards while Zach Walker and Cade Parham chipped in 12 and 10 points respectively. Garrett Pineault had 9 points on 3-6 from three-point land while Terry Anderson added 9 boards.

Deer Park never allowed more than seven points in a quarter, taking a 41-9 lead into halftime.

This weekend, the Deer travel to South Texas to compete in the Pride of Texas Basketball Tournament. The Deer open against Corpus Christi Carroll at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
