You might have noticed that Texas First Bank has vacated the building at 102 W. Pasadena (corner of Center St. and W. Pasadena, across the street from Sonic). The building was sold to LifeStyle Financial Advisors, and you can look for them to move this spring from their current location at 2318 Center St. You might remember that LifeStyle Financial Advisors merged with Landers Financial in 2015. Texas First Bank, meanwhile, has another branch close by at 6731 Spencer Highway in Pasadena.

Can you believe it has already been five years since we saw the opening of Baskin-Robbins ice cream store at 3811 Center Street. Baskin-Robbins originated when brothers-in-law Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins started making ice cream for their fellow troops during World War II. In the past 70 years, Baskin-Robbins has expanded to 35 countries and they are the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops. Don’t forget that Baskin-Robbins carries a huge assortment of ice cream cakes – perfect for any occasion.
