Heavenly Couture Boutique is now open at 5010 Luella Ave. (near Spencer Hwy). Check out this wonderful new women’s boutique - sizes teen to plus.

Snow House is now open at 8361 Spencer Hwy., at the intersection of Spencer Hwy. and Luella. They offer sweet treats, flavored “snow”, wings, fries and more.

Bows and Beaus Boutique is now open at 4134 Center St. (next door to Mathnasium and across the street from the big car wash). They carry boys’ and girls’ clothing, shoes, hand-made bows and accessories for sizes infant through 10. Their original store is in Baytown.

Donald’s Donuts is now located at 803 Center Street. The owners are the Loong family. Joyce Loong founded the original Donald’s Donuts in Seabrook 18 years ago. Daughter Melissa is at the helm of the new Deer Park location. They also have a third location in La Porte. In addition to yummy donuts, Donald’s also serves boudain kolaches, croissant sandwiches, biscuits, breakfast tacos, and a variety of other kolaches and donuts. Everything is served fresh and delicious. They are open seven days a week, and have plenty of roomy seating for dine-in customers – so stop by soon.

Honest-1 Auto Care has a new owner. Glen Milan took over the auto shop, located at 4840 Center St. near Spencer Highway, last February. He quickly hired a full new crew and has already seen the shop’s sales almost triple. Glen has been in the auto industry since he was a teen, even becoming the youngest state vehicle inspector at the age of 17. Today, he is thrilled to own an Honest-1 Auto franchise, as the organization strives to kill any old stereotypes associated with mechanics and car shops. The lobby area is clean, comfortable and kid-friendly. At Honest-1, 66% of their customers are women, and special effort is made to cater to a kinder and more honest experience for them. Legacy Community Health is now open at 3430 Center Street (former location of Shipley Donuts). Legacy is the largest system of community-based health care in Texas, serving 125,000 patients last year. They have a network of 25 health care clinics in this region. Nitro Cycles recently moved from its original Baytown location to 9515 Spencer Hwy. (near Underwood). The owner is La Porte native, Richard Kimes. Nitro features a full-service motorcycle repair shop offering tires, fluids, and all preventative maintenance work at reasonable rates. The Deer Park Chamber recently sold their building to Romco Manufacturing, located next door. The Chamber has now moved to a new location in the JSC Federal Credit Union building at the intersection of Center St. and Eighth St.
