Deer Park ISD notified parents this week that two young people reported a case of indecent exposure and suspicious behavior. The district said the incident actually took place Monday afternoon just before 5 p.m., but it was not reported until later in the week.

Two girls reported that a man exposed himself to them as they were walking near Georgia Avenue and Wildwood Drive in Deer Park Monday.

According to Deer Park ISD, the incident was reported to them later in the week. The district did not identify if the two girls were students in the district. Deer Park ISD reports that just before 5 p.m. Monday, a 17-year-old girl and her sister saw a suspicious vehicle in their area. As they walked past the vehicle, one of the girls reportedly noticed the driver exposed himself and was “behaving inappropriately.”

The two girls ran to a neighbor’s house and contacted police. The suspect is described as a heavy-set, unshaven man with a dark complexion. He was driving a silver, four-door sedan with alloy wheels.

“In this particular situation, the students responded exactly as they should have. The man did not speak to the girls, but police advise that children should never share any personal information such as their name, school, or address with a stranger,” said DPISD Superintendent Victor White in a letter to parents, informing them of the incident.

The district’s counseling services department advises students who find themselves in similar situations to run away; say “no” loudly and make a lot of noise to bring attention to themselves; and inform an adult as soon as possible.

Anyone with information about this or any incident, should contact the Deer Park Police Department at 281-478-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477. Reports can also be made by going to any DPISD campus website or to and clicking the Anonymous Alerts logo.
