The Deer Park High School volleyball team rides a five-match winning streak after sweeping South Houston Tuesday night. The 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 victory raises the team's record to 27-6 and 6-2 in 22-5A play. Tyler Jenkins and Terra Peil led the team with eight kills each.
Deer Park's next match is Friday night at the North Campus against archrival La Porte. The Bulldogs handed the Deer one of their two district losses at La Porte last month. In that match, the Deer were quickly set down the first two games before winning the third. They dropped the fourth game and match with a heartbreaking 30-28 loss.

Deer Park's second chance at La Porte starts at 6:30 p.m.
